You Are Allowed to Be Both a Masterpiece and a Work in Progress

—quote from Sophia Bush

The beauty of life is that we are always evolving. Celebrate where you are now, while also looking forward to what’s next.

Imagine if the painters of the Sistine Chapel had decided, "You know what? Let’s just leave the ceiling blank—no one looks up anyway."

Or if the Eiffel Tower had stopped at the first level because someone thought, "That’s tall enough."

Masterpieces take time...and so do you.

The idea that you can be both a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time is a freeing one.

You are already remarkable—full of wisdom, resilience, and strength, but still learning, growing, and occasionally Googling, "Why am I like this?" at 2 a.m.

As Salvador Dalí once said, “Have no fear of perfection—you’ll never reach it.” (Which is excellent news because who needs that kind of pressure?).

Life is about evolution, not just arrival.

You wouldn’t berate a caterpillar for not being a butterfly yet 🦋, so why are you so hard on yourself for not having everything perfectly worked out?

In self-care, this means celebrating your winsbig and small—while also forgiving yourself if mistakes are made, and the space and grow and evolve.

The next time you feel as though you’re not “there” yet, remind yourself: you’re already a stunning, intricate, slightly chaotic work of art in progress ...And that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. 😎

Now, go forth and be your fabulous, unfinished masterpiece of a self. 😁Just maybe get some sleep first—Google will still be there in the morning.😉
