Hello and thank you for visiting our website,
Have you ever stopped to consider what your organisation loses when a good person reaches their limit?
How much knowledge walks out of the door when an valued employee, colleague or foster carer are overwhelmed, stressed and decide they’ve simply had enough ?

I am a Stress Management and Workplace Wellbeing Specialist, an accredited Personal Performance Life Coach and Registered Social Worker an independent foster panel member, and an independent Fostering IRO.
I have also previously worked in Health services as a Registered General Nurse, and an Approved Mental Health Practitioner.
Drawing on 39 years of experience across health, social care and senior leadership, I bring together frontline insight, professional expertise and practical strategies that people can use in real working lives. I understand the reality behind the wellbeing conversation.
I am the founder of Self-Care Inevitable and creator of the SMILE Framework™, designed to help individuals, teams and organisations recognise stress and symptoms earlier, respond more effectively and build healthier, more sustainable ways of working.
Throughout almost 40 years of working across health and social care, I became increasingly aware of a recurring challenge.
The people I worked alongside were deeply committed and highly skilled at caring for others. Yet, even where wellbeing support was available, many people could still benefit from help to recognising pressure earlier and responding sooner to protect their own wellbeing during demanding and emotionally complex work.
That became one of the reasons I created the SMILE Framework™.
The framework helps people and organisations move beyond simply reacting to stress. It builds awareness of the early signs of pressure, provides practical ways to respond and supports healthier, more sustainable ways of working, before ongoing stress develops into overwhelm or burnout.
Consider this:
What if a valued member of your team, a colleague or foster carer stepped away tomorrow because the pressure had simply become too much?
What would they lose?
What would your organisation lose with them…their experience, knowledge, relationships and contribution are not always easy to replace?
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: self-care is not a luxury, it is essential to sustaining our wellbeing and continuing to do high-quality work.
Healthy organisations are built by people who can continue doing meaningful work without being worn down in the process.
“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation,"
Audre Lourde, 1988.
