Most teachers go into the profession because they care. You’re passionate about learning, young people and making a difference. But sometimes that passion turns into pressure, to do more, give more, be perfect.

You don’t have to carry it all. You can be passionate without burning out.

How to keep the spark without the stress:

  • Revisit what you love about teaching, write it down.

  • Let go of the idea that you have to do it all.

  • Ask yourself: is this pressure coming from outside or inside?

  • Find balance between stretching yourself and protecting your peace.

  • Speak kindly to yourself when things don’t go to plan.
