Why do we feel guilty when we rest?  It’s common to hear, “People are worse off than me,” or “There’s always more to do.”

Guilt is not proof of productivity. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to step back, and doing so makes you better at your job, not worse.

How to take a break without guilt:

  • Reframe rest as responsibility to yourself and your clients.

  • Set clear work and non-work hours.

  • Plan breaks ahead and stick to them.

  • Let go of comparison. Your needs are valid.

  • Make your Self-care Inevitable!
